For the third week in a row, FPs advanced in a cup competition without playing as Stonehaven 2nds scratched against FPs 3rd XI. In what is becoming a familiar story, it leaves 11+ players with no game of cricket. It does however mean that the 3rd XI have reached the semi fianl of the Johnston Rosebowl.
On an eventful Thursday evening, in which FPs and Bon Accord had originally agreed to postpone Saturday’s Grade 1 fixture due to the travellers, Stonehaven scratched leading to the possibility for the 1st XI game to be moved to Rubislaw. However, perhaps having read this very website, the travellers realised they were not welcome at the Links and that they were messing up the cricket fixtures so decided to leave. This now means that the Bon Accord fixture can go ahead at the Links after all. After much texting to tell the 11 players that the game that was off was now back on, FPs team is once again ready for Saturday. However, with bad weather forecast it may all be in vain…
