Cup opponents no clearer after rain

FPs will be forced to wait for a while longer to discover who they will face in the semi-final of the Aberdeenshire Cup after rain again wiped out the Mannofield and Bon Accord encounter.  The semi final is currently scheduled for Sunday July 31st, with FPs away.

The 2nd XI will also face an additional Sunday match as their trip to Stonehaven was washed out on Saturday.  As the first encounter between the sides was also rained off, this match will require to be played.

Cricket Equipment destroyed in Rubislaw blaze

FPs were today counting the cost of a massive fire which tore through the sheds at Rubislaw. A substantial amount of equipment and school training items were lost in the blaze.  Grammar FP Rugby also suffered substantial losses in the fire.  At present the cause has not been established and the full level of losses is yet to be quantified.

New pitch in play

FPs are delighted to announce that the new pitch has been installed and that the new batting cage is also due for delivery.  The club received a sizeable grant from the Lord Taverners and has combined this with club funds to make a major investment in the future.  The club has received tremendous assistance from the school also and it is hoped that the links between the school and the club can be further improved with the new coaching links which have been established.
