In a one-sided affair at Rubislaw, Crescent delivered a clinical performance to dismantle 2s by nine wickets in the Grade 1 clash. This ensured Crescent stayed in grade 1 and 2s will play in Grade 2 next season, something that had been confirmed a number of weeks earlier. Grammar, batting first, were bundled out for a modest 153 in just 35.2 overs, with Crescent chasing down the target in only 19.3 overs, losing just one wicket in the process.
Grammar produced a stunning performance to secure a massive victory over Gordonians in a high-stakes encounter that decided the fate of both teams in the league. With relegation looming, Grammar had to win and and they delivered in style.
In a high-scoring encounter at Rubislaw, Bon Accord outclassed by 56 runs leaving Grammar rooted in the relegation places. The match was defined by a dominant batting display from Bon Accord’s top order, a flurry of dropped chances by Grammar, and a spirited partnership between Geoff Morrison and Salman Bedaar that salvaged valuable consolation points for the visitors.
The latest team 2 clash at Rubislaw saw a dominant performance from Master Blasters as they outclassed 2s. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Master Blasters got off to a cautious start but soon accelerated thanks to a brilliant partnership between Tenneti and Gajjar. Tenneti’s century was a masterclass in composure and timing, while Gajjar’s explosive innings turned the tide decisively in favour of the batting side.
It was a slightly odd situation as 1s faced 2s at Rubislaw with both sides rooted in the relegation places. 2s played extremely well, batting well to make 176 all out and had 1s in some difficulty at 27 for 3, but a sensible knock from Geoff Morrison (41) and some expansive shot play from Salman Bedaar (72no) broke the bat of the case and 1s edged to victory, moving them up the league but still locked in an intense relegation battle.
In a match that exemplified the true spirit of cricket, Grammar secured a vital 38-run win over Grampian in the latest Grade 1 fixture at a blustery Inverdee 2. The game was played in excellent spirit, with both sides showing mutual respect, competitive edge, and sportsmanship throughout. Despite being forced to field with only ten players for a significant portion of the second innings due to Prasanth Poosappadi’s boat related absence, Grammar dug deep and delivered a performance full of grit and character.
In a high-scoring and entertaining encounter at Rubislaw, Knight Riders emerged victorious over Aberdeen Grammar by 51 runs, thanks to a commanding century from Madhan Kumar Mohan and a disciplined bowling performance that stifled Grammar’s chase.
In a match that had everything—grit, collapses, counterattacks, controversy, and a nail-biting finish— Knight Riders emerged victorious over Grammar by 3 wickets, chasing down a target of 210 with 11 balls to spare. The contest, played on a sun-drenched afternoon at Rubislaw, was a showcase of Grade 1, the good bad and the plain ugly.
Grammar secured a thrilling three-wicket victory over Crescent at Bogbeath Park to keep their survival hopes alive, albeit the 3rd win in 4 still left them in the relegation places. Grammar were able to chase down a target of 200 with just 10 balls to spare, thanks to a magnificent unbeaten 91 from Rob Swiergon. After winning the toss, Grammar opted to field first and produced a disciplined bowling performance but dreadful catching performance, shelling 7 opportunities but did restrict Crescent to 199/9 in their 40 overs. Despite early setbacks in their chase, Grammar’s middle and lower order held firm, with Swiergon anchoring the innings and Prasanth Poosappadi providing a composed finish playing as a specialist batsman.
Grammar were able to just beat the weather as they gained a morale boosting win at Inverurie. Inverurie were inserted on a damp surface that offered early movement for seamers. Their innings never truly gained momentum, with wickets falling at regular intervals and partnerships failing to flourish. Only really Fraser Lawrance stood out with a composed 32 off 48 balls, anchoring the middle overs and finding gaps with six well-timed boundaries. Mausam Thapa contributed 19 from 39 balls, showing patience but struggled to rotate strike. John-Paul Marrow and Roger Ewen added a late unbeaten 23-run stand, pushing the total to 130.
In a match that could well be the turning point of their season, Grammar delivered a spirited all-round performance to defeat Mannofield by 26 runs in a tense affair that ebbed and flowed at Rubislaw. The victory not only lifts Grammar’s morale but also reasserts their credentials as a side capable of fighting back when their backs are against the wall.
Gordonians cruised to a commanding 9-wicket win over Aberdeen Grammar in a one-sided NESC Grade 1 fixture at Rubislaw, thanks to a breath-taking century from opener M Khosla and a disciplined bowling performance.

Leston D’Costa hit a superb maiden ton as 1s put up a good fight attempting to chase down Mannofield’s 291 for 7, eventually being bowled out for 261. 14 year old Shedbal had earlier mase a run a ball century for the home side and numerous dropped catches looked to have scuppered any chances Grammar had.
The opening day of another cricket season started in a slightly odd manner as Grammar 1s and Grammar 2s squared off at Rubislaw, 2s nominally the home side. It is always a challenge to know with new players where they should start and after some discussion both sides lined up ready for a slightly unusual battle.
